Woodmoor Beer Appreciation Society American Lagers Tasting

22 December 2000

The Society celebrated the holiday season with a blind tasting of a a variety of American Lagers. Each taster's highest scoring beer is listed in blue and lowest score in red. The adjusted score was determined by dropping the high and low scores. Overall Brooklyn Lager was the panel's favorite, followed by Flying Dog Old Scratch and Christian Moerlein Select Lager. Clipper City Lager was the least appreciated beer followed by Red Dog and Schmidts. We may have had an off batch of Clipper City as it has been a decent beer in the past and deserves a re-evaluation in a future test.
